Our Story

Owner Mustafa Utguran grew up in Turkey and immigrated to America to work as a Turkish Chef in Manhattan, Northern New Jersey and then Philadelphia for over 26 years.   He often dreamed of opening his own restaurant.  In 2015, that dream came true when he took over full ownership of the Kebab House in Newport News.  

Mustafa and his family enjoy greeting their guests and discovering if they have traveled to the Mediterranean region. They explain the menu and dishes and the various spices that go into them. They are thrilled to bring authentic freshly-prepared Turkish food to the area.

Mustafa’s vision statement is “Fresh and Healthy Food for our Customers.” He makes his Kebabs daily and never uses frozen or advanced cooked meals in his Authentic Turkish Cuisine. The family would love to meet you and delight you with their signature dishes and a warm family-friendly atmosphere.
